The application process for the Sedgefield SSP PE Apprentice programme is now open for the academic year 2018-19.
A PE and School Sport Apprentice working in one of our partner schools would be contracted to 30 hours per week whole time. A working week would comprise of 4 days per week in school and college attendance 1 day per week to complete their NVQ training. Whilst in school, they will support teachers both within PE lessons and within the classroom. Apprentices may lead warm ups and cool downs, set up equipment, work with individuals or small groups, lead playground activities or assist with after school clubs
This is a fantastic opportunity for the young people in our local area and we are asking all our partners and contacts to support us in promoting this to increase our recruitment potential among suitable and interested young people. Placements are available across all of County Durham and Darlington.

We are holding an Open Evening at Maiden Castle, Durham on Monday June 4th 5.30 – 7pm during which young people will be able to ask any questions they may have.
